It’s… November?! Thanks to global warming it’s still giving mid-September. Is it just me or did lots of people take Halloween off this year? I really didn’t see any costumes costume-ing (besides dogs).
Recent favorites:
REDONE clogs — these were made a couple of seasons ago but they go with everything and are super comfy. I also feel like no one bought them and they’re chicer than
Cotton citizen sweats — I’ve been living in this lately. The material is the perfect thickness. I hate people that say “it’s worth the investment”, but, it is.
Wool shorts — These are thrifted from an LA crossroads. These are a staple for me every shoulder season. Wear with tights and tall boots or loafers and and cute sock. Look up vintage wool shorts on eBay or the Real Real.

Ghia — I’ve been starting out my night with a Ghia. I drink and love a dirty martini but these are nice to mix in. If you’re not following Melanie, (their founder) then what are you doing?
Frozen Peas — Okay hear me out lmao. I’ve been loving frozen peas mixed with coconut aminos, dijon, a bit of hummus + some nutritional yeast. I’ll spare you a picture but it’s like the perfect warming and salty snack.
THE black boot — I just ordered this boot for fall/winter. It’s timeless and chic. I think everyone should have it.
Weighted walks — I’ve done this for a while but re-sharing as I’ve been doing it more often lately. Strap your ankle weights on when you’re going for a walk to get a little extra toning.

Doughy — I’ve been obsessed with this dessert lately. The peanut butter flavor is pretty good too. I add raspberry jam to that.
Recoverie — If you want to have the best sleep of your life, try a sauna. I’ve been doing the contrast therapy at Revcoverie in Brooklyn Bridge part and am obsessed. It’s cheaper than The Well and Othership and has an intimate feel.
Fennel — Hosting season is upon us. Instead of carrots, add fennel to your crudite board. It spices it up and is #debloating.
@leabaldassari.ceramics — I love using shells for butter or salt dishes and she makes the most perfect mugs and bowls. Obsessed
L’appartment 4f at night — We all know their croissants are amazing. If you don’t want to wait for 4 hours go to their wine bar. The l’apero menu is scrumptious as is the wine. I loved the tin fish platter and squash.
What is everyone’s meal they order or make when they get home from a trip?
p.s. follow @cheapoldhouses if you don’t already.
