I'm coming to you live from the picnic benches of one of my favorite places on the planet, the Tandem Coffee on Anderson Street. :) I’m still smiling from binging Foster’s new show, “Nobody Wants This.” I loved it.
Maine is always the place where I feel that ability to be still. No matter what, I always feel reset. Sometimes I don’t like the word reset, because it feels like so much pressure. Mini resets are needed, so plan them. Have a day where all you have planned is a long walk. I like to voice note my brainstorms in my notes app during these walks.
Okay, finally here are the recent favorites (in no particular order):
Morses mustard — Maine made. Their pickles are to die for. The consistency is perfection.
2. Side of anchovies — I know, I know, who orders avocado toast anymore. Randomly I’m obsessed with the Paris Soho House's gf bread. It’s like crispy but spongey? Inticing, I know lmao. Anyway, this was divine. Correct about of dijon
Bontanical Brothers — I’ve been subscribed since April and love the surprise. They deliver single-stem wildflowers from local NY farms once a week for only $40. You get a preview of the flowers each week with bouquet ideas. You can also pause at any time if you’re out of town.
Cafe du Coin — This was a recent discovery in Paris. Nestled in the 11th (my favorite area), this may be the most perfect lunch deal. For twenty-four euros, you get a three-course lunch. I had delicious cured trout and potentially the best piece of comte of my life.
Saint Julivert — This has been my favorite restaurant in Brooklyn for some time. If you’re missing Paris and love seafood, go. Incredible wine menu. The shiso tacos and lobster tostada are in my thoughts at least twice a week.
Barriere — Is everyone sick rn or is it just me? I’ve been wearing barriere’s daily defense patch all fall and haven’t gotten sick once.
Italian in Paris — I stumbled upon this spot when I was walking on rue de Bretagne. Their olive selection is unmatched. Make your own panini and get the eggplant lasagna. They don’t even have a Instagram but it’s right next to Araku (great cappuccino).
The row dupes — I’ve been wearing these a lot. They’re super comfy and I feel like something you should get the dupe of. I like the espresso color. Don’t get the red (p.s. red is over).
Blake Orchard — Portland, Maine does so many things right. This smoothie is possibly my favorite in the US. In Portland for the weekend? You should try out reve cycling and grab the Green Goddess smoothie post workout. Why am I loving bee pollen rn?!
Tarp bags — It started with me keeping the Happier Grocer bag. My friend Katie had made this bag and it’s giving Margiela??! I’m obsessed with this fabric for fall.
xoxoxo Walk
